Guide Review - Streaming Colors Fitness Journal

Coloring is fun and the Streaming Colors Fitness Journal (which is more like a wall calendar) uses that fun factor in this cute, color-coded calendar. The idea here is to choose a color for each workout or healthy habit you want to track (e.g., red for cardio, yellow for taking a walk, green for drinking water, etc.) and then mark each activity you accomplish each day. By just looking at the calendar and noting the colors you've used, you can see what you've accomplished or what you need to work on. You can keep the same color key or change it every month, if you like. The journal also offers many extras including a start page where you can rate your current fitness habits to help you set goals and a section related to the Food Guide Pyramid. If you decide to follow the new pyramid (MyPyramid.gov), you can use the worksheet at the beginning to record how many servings you should get of each food group as well as your vital statistics. At the end of each month, you can make notes for what you want to improve upon for the next month and, at the end of the calendar you can rate how you did over the year. Overall, this is a fun way to track workouts and would make a great gift idea as well.
